PSYC 119A Development as a Sociocultural Process

Examines theory and research in sociocultural approaches to how people (especially children) learn and develop through participating in activities of their communities with other people. Emphasizes the organization of social interactions and learning opportunities, especially in Indigenous and Indigenous-heritage communities in the Americas. Satisfies the seminar requirement.
