ENVS 177 Teaching Environmental Education

As the world confronts environmental crises driven by human impact, the need for environmentally literate citizens has never been greater. This course examines the essential role of education in creating a world population that is more knowledgeable about and concerned for the environment, and more empowered to work individually and collectively toward solutions. Emphasis is placed on creating meaningful, equitable learning experiences for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Learn to bring environmental literacy to the next generation—thoughtfully, creatively, and with lasting impact.

Requirements

Prerequisite(s): previous or concurrent enrollment in courses ENVS 100 and ENVS 100L. Non-ENVS majors may enroll with permission from the instructor.
